Student clubs and organizations are an exciting and important part of the Duke Kunshan experience. Not only are they designed to serve the diverse needs and interests of our students, clubs, and organizations connect everybody outside their classrooms, they also provide leadership skills development and opportunities. Student groups such as these empower students culturally, socially, and intellectually. All student clubs and organizations will receive guidance and support from the Student Affairs Office.
Student Government at Duke Kunshan represents the interests and concerns of the student body. It aims to establish and maintain effective communication with university administration while encouraging collaboration among students, faculty, staff and the local community to broaden knowledge and skills.
Student volunteers will receive valuable experience and training that benefits them in their study, personal development and career while contributing to society. Examples of volunteer activities include regular service trips to local community centers as well as elderly homes and schools. Students will also have opportunities to work closely with local non-profit and charity organizations and receive hands-on experience during their study.
To help students maintain a healthy and active lifestyle, Duke Kunshan offers a wide range of fitness classes and activities. Students may join different sports clubs for leisure and recreational purposes, and are further encouraged to become a member of the university team and participate in intercollegiate competitions with teams from other colleges and universities in China.
The series of programs aim to promote culture and diversity here at Duke Kunshan. Events or workshops in areas such as painting, design, music, film, crafts, photography, entertainment, and performance are regularly offered.
